Florida Resident Disney Tickets
Florida resident Disney tickets are really great deals for those of us who live in the Sunshine State. And depending on how often you visit with Mickey, Minnie and the gang, the savings can be substantial.
There are day tickets if you plan on a short stay, or passes (anywhere from 3 months to a year) that offer humongous discounts if you are a true Disney aficionado.
But there’s a catch — you really do have to live in Florida!
Who Qualifies for Florida Resident Disney Tickets?
If you have a valid state-issued photo ID that shows a Florida address, you qualify.

Jasmine and David pose for a photo!
If you are a student at a Florida college or university (and have a picture ID to prove it), you qualify.
If you’re in the military and are stationed at a base here in Florida, you qualify.
You don’t qualify for the Florida resident Disney discount if you have friends or relatives who live in Florida, but you don’t. Here’s why.
Every person who purchases (or attempts to purchase) a Disney World Florida resident discount ticket must show ID to pick up the ticket. No Florida ID, no ticket.
Your name goes on the ticket, so don’t try to get a friend to buy a ticket in their name and give it to you to use. Why? If there is a problem with the ticket, the Disney staff can request to see your photo ID. If it doesn’t match what’s on the ticket, it’s confiscated – and you’re out the money!
Disney Park Passes for Residents
If you live in the Central Florida area, a Disney park pass for residents is a really good deal. The most popular are the 3-month passes, although they do have black-out dates. But you can purchase premium passes without blackout dates at a very nice discount indeed!
It’s always a good idea to compare the ticket offerings, but any way you look at it, discount Florida resident Disney tickets are a great deal!
Disney No Expiration Option
Being that I am a Florida resident myself, I see the great discounts we residents get. However, I also live too far away from Orlando now to be able to use more than a day or two at a time. That’s when I found the option for not letting your tickets expire! You can find more information on the theme park tickets page, but in a nutshell, the tickets don’t expire (as do regular tickets).
Buying days in bulk can save you a lot of money, so it’s wise to buy as many days at a time as you can afford (trust me, the Disney World park ticket prices only go up in price).
